Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks a Thermal Systems Lead Engineer focusing on Electrical & Power for data centers. You will lead the design of integrated electrical and cooling reference designs, drive 800VDC architectures, and ensure interoperability across racks, CDU, chillers, and power monitoring systems.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with IT and facilities teams, and advance system-level PUE improvements while staying current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of electrical engineering experience with data centers.
• Experience with data center power standards and high-voltage DC.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of electrical and power systems into data center reference designs.
• Design end-to-end electrical power systems from switchgear to IT racks.
• Provide expertise on power distribution, UPS, PDUs, and power monitoring for uptime.
• Ensure interoperability of racks, power distribution, CDU, and chillers.
• Drive 800VDC power architectures and PoC validation.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with IT and facilities teams.
