Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a senior engineer to provide subject matter expertise in thermal management system design for data centers and the semiconductor ecosystem, including project scoping, concept development, engineering analysis, and system validation.

You will develop thermal management systems using Trane equipment and controls, collaborating with partners, customers, and peers to influence design strategy and execution.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university with a strong thermal/fluid energy and/or controls background.
• An MBA is beneficial but is not required.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering work experience.
• A Professional Engineering license is beneficial but is not required.
• Ability to travel independently both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in thermal management system design for the data center and semiconductor ecosystem, while maintaining broad HVAC systems and product knowledge.
• Develop thermal management systems using Trane or sourced equipment and controls including project scoping, concept development, engineering analysis, creation of commercialization content and tools, and system validation.
• Influence and provide deep technical support and analysis into system-level reference design strategy and execution, working in close cooperation with partners, customers and peers.
• Evaluate complex, special, and advanced engineering problems working independently with minimal supervision.
• Serve as subject matter expert on capabilities to improve existing systems and processes.
• Collaborate with and influence product teams to achieve common objectives May provide periodic routine to intensive technical guidance to less experienced professionals or technicians assigned to work on large projects.
