Job summary

Trane Technologies, a world leader in climate solutions, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for data center chillers. You will develop unit and auxiliary control panels, select components, and produce prototypes, test docs and release products to production.

Strong collaboration with design and production teams is essential. You'll apply knowledge of UL/CSA standards, lead project activities, and support field service and manufacturing with engineering expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology or Engineering Physics required.
7-10 years of relevant work experience.
Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and orally.

Responsibilities

Develop customer requirements into equipment design through production implementation.
Develop electrical panel designs, wire harnesses, and load calculations.
Provide guidance and leadership to designers, factory technicians and other team members.
Administer appropriate agency and regulatory approval processes.
Define, identify, and complete appropriate qualification testing activities.
Develop unit wiring schematics in both AutoCAD and Creo Schematics.
Prepare complete schedules and reports for assigned projects.
Provide engineering support to Production Planning, Field Service, and Technical Support.
Support the Order Fulfillment teams as needed to address safety, assembly and quality issues.
Identify electrical quality and productivity improvement opportunities.
