Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Plumbing Designer for its Data Center group to deliver plumbing and utility design packages for data center clients. You will prepare DWV, potable water, process drains, storm drains, and domestic water systems, while contributing to schedule adherence and technical quality.

You’ll work with a multi-discipline team to establish a plumbing design basis, coordinate with other engineering disciplines, and develop construction documents. A hybrid work approach is available.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years’ experience in the design of plumbing systems for industrial facilities.
• Demonstrated experience in generating design documents adhering to applicable CAD standards for plumbing design packages within an A&E firm.
• Trade School or Associates Degree.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to design of plumbing systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work well within a dynamic team environment with multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of Plumbing systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, isometrics, riser diagrams, details, fixture schedules.
• Development of final construction documents for domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, etc.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
