Job summary

Ericsson seeks a Data Center Optical Engineer to lead fiber optic installation, testing, and maintenance in customer data centers and co-locations. You will ensure high-quality execution of procedures, coordinate with 3PP technicians, and interface with customers and vendors.

You will travel up to 50% to non-home market sites, mentor junior technicians, and uphold safety standards while delivering reliable services across optical transport environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center optical and transport environments.
• Hands-on fiber optic cabling experience (single-mode & multi-mode).
• Ability to read cut sheets and network diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily audits of work in customer data centers and provide feedback to technicians.
• Interact with customers and provide clear reports and updates.
• Assist with fiber installation, decommissioning, break/fix, remediation, and migrations.
