Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Technician to lead, audit, and support optical transport in customer data centers and co-locations. You will interact with customers, report findings, and ensure high-quality execution across installations, migrations, and remediation.

The role requires hands-on fiber cabling, optical testing, and strong communication skills in English. You may travel to non-home market sites, potentially up to 100% of the time, to support projects and ensure service quality in

Qualifications

  • 3–15 years in data center operations with direct customer interaction.
  • Hands-on fiber cabling experience: single-mode/multi-mode, LC, fan-outs.
  • Experience with optical testing and transport troubleshooting.
  • Strong English communication for customer-facing tasks.
  • Team lead experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily audits of Ericsson work at customer data centers and co-locations.
  • Interact with customers via ticketing tools or in person, providing clear reports.
  • Assist with fiber installation, decommissioning, break/fix, remediation and migrations.
  • Conduct and/or supervise optical testing and troubleshooting with meters and OTDRs.
  • Deliver services by following MoPs, docs, vendor docs, and network diagrams.
  • Read and interpret cut sheets and network designs to ensure proper port connections.
