Job summary

Ericsson is seeking a Data Center Technician to lead, audit, and support optical transport in customer data centers and co-locations. You will interact with customers, report findings, and ensure high-quality execution across installations, migrations, and remediation.

The role requires hands-on fiber cabling, optical testing, and strong communication skills in English. You may travel to non-home market sites, potentially up to 100% of the time, to support projects and ensure service quality in

Qualifications

3–15 years in data center operations with direct customer interaction.
Hands-on fiber cabling experience: single-mode/multi-mode, LC, fan-outs.
Experience with optical testing and transport troubleshooting.
Strong English communication for customer-facing tasks.
Team lead experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily audits of Ericsson work at customer data centers and co-locations.
Interact with customers via ticketing tools or in person, providing clear reports.
Assist with fiber installation, decommissioning, break/fix, remediation and migrations.
Conduct and/or supervise optical testing and troubleshooting with meters and OTDRs.
Deliver services by following MoPs, docs, vendor docs, and network diagrams.
Read and interpret cut sheets and network designs to ensure proper port connections.
