Job summary

QTS Realty Trust seeks a Critical Operations Technician II to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment in our data center. You will monitor systems, run tests, and analyze data to ensure proper operation.

You will assist customers on the floor and via phone, manage tickets, and escalate issues to engineers as needed. The role is on-site with 24x7x365 coverage; strong communication, teamwork, and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Five or more of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, plumbing/piping equipment and controls.
• Provide remote hands and eyes services and basic hardware/software support.
• Create and update tickets for data center issues per procedures.
• Assist customers on the Data Center floor and escalate to systems engineers when needed.
• Respond to building emergencies and support 24x7 operations.
