Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. - A19 is seeking a Manager I, Data Center Operations to lead a team of technicians responsible for daily performance of critical infrastructure.

You will supervise front-line staff, set priorities, and drive improvements to ensure reliability and availability for millions of customers. You will coach, hire, and develop talent while maintaining an inclusive environment that aligns with our mission and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center operations, on-call support experience
• 4+ years IT experience or Bachelor's in CS/engineering/mathematics
• 2+ years of people management experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of data center technicians, onboarding new hires and giving feedback
• Manage daily facility operations, audit queues, SLA adherence, safety and efficiency
• Prioritize work across routine ops, capacity projects, and emergencies, with real-time trade-offs
• Identify and implement improvements to tools and processes to raise quality and reduce risk
• Attract and retain top talent and foster an inclusive team culture
