Job summary

Google is seeking an Operations Technician to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware across data centers, including servers and networking components. You'll also coordinate complex components like routers and switches and participate in small project teams on larger installations.

The role involves physical movement, rack installation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Prior component-level repair experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
• Experience diagnosing OS, server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work non-standard hours including weekends and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across projects.
• Report issues and follow procedures to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
• Maintain data security and integrity per Google standards.
• Disassemble equipment at end-of-life in a team setting.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on hardware and servers.
