Job summary

Google is seeking an Operations Technician to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (servers and components) and server software in its AI and Infrastructure environments. You will contribute to networks, routers, switches, and related protocols, leading small project teams when needed.

The role involves manual movement of racks, working in a dynamic, cutting-edge infrastructure setting, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Experience performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting IT equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot OS, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to lift/move 50lb and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects.
• Diagnose issues with equipment or infrastructure and apply resources to resolve them.
• Maintain data security and integrity per Google standards.
• Disassemble equipment reaching end-of-life for part replacement or maintenance.
• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on equipment and servers.
