Job summary

Google is seeking an Operations Technician to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware such as servers and components in a cutting-edge data center environment.

You will configure networks, routers, hubs and switches, lead small projects, and develop contingency plans. The role requires physical work, including lifting and moving equipment and non-standard hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to perform component-level repairs and troubleshooting on IT equipment.
• Completion of the Google IT Support Professional Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment or infrastructure as issues arise.
• Maintain data security and integrity per Google standards.
• Disassemble end-of-life equipment with a team.
• Perform preventative maintenance on servers and infrastructure.
