Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/piping equipment inside and outside our data center facilities. This role supports a 24x7x365 environment on-site, assisting customers and escalating issues to systems engineers as needed.

You will perform routine testing, monitor building systems, and manage tickets while ensuring safe operation and compliance with procedures.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical fields.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain IT, electrical, and mechanical equipment and controls in building systems.
• Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers and assist on data center floor.
• Create and update tickets for preventative/corrective maintenance and customer requests.
• Operate and monitor critical and non-critical system equipment for safe, compliant operation.
