Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems inside and around data centers. This role requires on-site presence to monitor, test, and optimize critical infrastructure for 24x7 operations.

You will handle customer equipment installations, manage tickets, coordinate with systems engineers, and perform hands-on tasks across hardware and software operations while providing remote hands and eyes

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers.
• Install IT, mechanical, and electrical equipment as required.
• Process work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance on critical, building, and site infrastructure.
• Create and/or update tickets within the established ticketing system to address customer calls, data center facility, network and/or system related alerts.
• Responds to building emergencies and customer requests.
