Job summary

Csquare's Data Center Operations team in Irvine, CA is seeking an entry-level Operations Technician 1 to provide around-the-clock support for internal and external customers. You will assist with installations, troubleshoot issues, monitor systems, and maintain thorough documentation.

The role involves direct work with colocation customers, handling copper and fiber cabling, performing basic tests, and updating tickets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• IT certification is desired.
• Experience with the installation, testing and terminating of copper, fiber (multi & single mode) and coaxial cable is desired.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
• Strong team player and physical aptitude for lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot copper and fiber cross connects and run bundles of cables throughout the data center.
• Monitor systems and document all work in the ticket system.
• Manage incoming/outgoing tape backups and offsite transfers.
• Perform installation/de-installation tasks including racking, stacking, cabling, and labeling.
• Support on-call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
