Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Manager to lead cross-site teams responsible for the uptime of global infrastructure.

You will mentor staff, sponsor projects, and drive technical solutions in hardware, network, and operations, while coordinating on-call incident response. The role requires travel between facilities, strong people leadership, and a track record delivering reliable data center services at scale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a management or team lead role
• 4+ years IT experience or Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering/Math or equivalent
• Willingness to travel between data center locations

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
• Manage the performance of diverse data center operation teams across locations
• Develop career paths for employees and update internal tools
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing levels
• Ensure day-to-day data center operations including 24/7 shift and hardware logistics
• Lead on-call rotation and act as incident call leader
• Drive process improvements, technology innovation and automation
• Manage large-scale outages and coordinate response
• Ensure operational KPIs and metrics are met
• Travel to sites as needed for training or operations
