Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Data Center Facility Manager to lead critical infrastructure.

You will oversee electrical and mechanical systems, coordinate 24x7 engineering teams, and drive reliability and efficiency across high‑availability data centers. This role involves safety, budgeting, vendor coordination, and hands‑on troubleshooting of generators, switchgear, UPS, CRAC, chillers, cooling towers, and building automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a managerial/supervisory role with 5+ direct reports
• 3+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 3+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical infrastructure
• Manage safety, security, availability, quality, and performance of the team
• Lead teams of 24x7 engineering technicians and Facility Managers
• Drive improvement projects from conception to completion
• Ensure staffing levels grow with expansions
• Be actively involved in ongoing construction activities
• Coordinate daily with third-party vendors and SLAs
• Manage the operations budget and expenditures
