Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Facility Manager to lead and optimize the operation of critical data center infrastructure in Canton, MS.

You will manage 24x7 engineering technicians and Facility Managers, coordinate with vendors, and drive safety, reliability, and efficiency across shifts. The role requires extensive experience in electrical and mechanical systems, startup/commissioning, and a proven track record in leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a managerial/supervisory role with 5+ direct reports
• 3+ years electrical or mechanical experience
• 3+ years in engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical infrastructure
• Oversee safety, security, availability, quality, and performance of the team across multiple shifts
• Manage teams of 24x7 engineering technicians and Facility Managers in all facets of their careers
• Engage in improvement projects and drive them from conception to completion
• Ensure staffing levels are maintained and grown with expansions
• Be actively involved in ongoing construction activities
• Coordinate daily with third-party vendors ensuring adherence to SLAs
• Effectively and efficiently manage the operations budget and expenditures
