Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Canton, MS is seeking a leader to manage and grow a team responsible for building and operating the data center network and infrastructure that powers AWS.

The role focuses on delivering capacity, improving processes, and maintaining high safety standards across multiple sites. You will oversee technicians and engineers, work cross-functionally across AWS, and drive operational excellence in data center delivery and connectivity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a data center technology role.
• 2+ years TCP/IP networking, cabling, fiber, and test equipment experience.
• 2+ years in a management or team lead function.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop teams of technicians and engineers, delivering high performance.
• Deliver capacity to existing Data Centers
• Assist in building and bringing online new Data Centers
• Constantly improve processes and procedures
• Assist & manage relationships with external vendors & contractors
• Liaise with internal teams & management groups
• Ensure health & safety standards in all Data Centers
• Create and maintain metrics to drive improvements
• Assist in implementing service methodologies (incident, problem, change, capacity)
