Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) is seeking a Data Center Operations Engineer to ensure all activities in the Data Center & Access Center follow procedures and industry best practices.

The role includes project work and incident-driven tasks, adhering to Change Control, maintaining security, and updating records in Service Now, with daily area checks. The DCOE will support capacity management for cables and hardware for ICE and colocation clients, maintain asset records, perform monthly

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working in Data Center environments.
• Experience in ITIL controlled environments with Change Control, Incident Management & Problem Management processes.
• Basic network knowledge and familiarity with a broad range of IT hardware.

Responsibilities

• Installation, relocation and recovery of network, server and storage hardware to manufacturer standards.
• Manage goods in/out process for dedicated storage facility with full asset records.
• Carry out monthly audits of items in store and report anomalies.
• Update asset records and location/status after installations, moves or changes.
• Daily housekeeping checks of the data halls and documentation of findings.
• Control Data Center stocks and report on inventories.
