Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. seeks a Senior Engineer, Data Center Engineering to ensure Data Center activities follow procedures and best practices. You will guide installation practices, Change Control, and ensure proper documentation for ICE facilities in Mahwah, NJ.

The role includes on-site operations, mentoring Operations Engineers, incident handling, and coordinating with vendors to schedule project work while maintaining DCIM records and asset tracking.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a team of Data Center Engineers.
• Pro-active and flexible with ability to work in a team or independently.
• Effective written and verbal communication at all levels.
• Knowledge of copper and fibre cabling installations and standards.
• Experience with hardware manufacturers and installation standards.
• Understanding of IP networks and a broad IT hardware background.
• Familiarity with Change Control, Incident Management & Problem Management.
• Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience managing 3rd party contractors in a DC environment.
• Strong attention to detail and desire to progress within the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Support the Data Center Engineers and act as an escalation point for the Team.
• Maintain access control lists and check access reports daily.
• Maintain documentation relating to data center operations.
• Ensure MACs are executed and documented in DCIM.
• Install, relocate and recover hardware to standards.
• Repair hardware to component level across vendor equipment.
• Manage goods in/out for storage and asset records.
• Update asset locations and statuses.
• Daily checks on security and cleanliness of Data Centers.
• Produce quarterly activity reports.
