Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Seattle is seeking a Network Deployment Planner to join our Planning and Implementation team within AWS Data Center Delivery. You will scope and plan capacity scaling projects and network capacity deployments across data center locations, reviewing forecasts and ensuring resources are ready for execution.

Qualifications

• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
• Experience in project management.
• 1+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to timelines.
• Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes with a focus on improvement.
• Coordinate with Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, Network Engineers and Technical PMs to ensure fast, smooth delivery of on-demand capacity.
• Knowledge of network cabling and optic types.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Familiarity with common networking terms.
• Strong prioritization and time management abilities.
• Coordinate design, project timeline/schedule, and construction milestones.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path.
