Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Technician to join our infrastructure operations team. You will help scale and stabilize our next-generation networks across data centers and work with engineering teams to automate and grow capacity.

The role requires autonomous, detail-oriented candidates with strong communication skills, experience supporting large-scale networks, and the ability to document and follow standardized procedures. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering & Network Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast rollout of designs and products.
• Up to 20% travel within geographical work area may be required.
• Troubleshooting cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Develop capacity planning models to ensure infrastructure scalability.
• Create standardized planning templates and methodologies for network implementations.
