Job summary

AWS Infrastructure Services seeks a highly motivated Program Manager to join our Planning, Implementation and Coordination team within AWS Data Center Delivery. You will scope interdependent capacity scaling projects across data center locations and ensure resources are available for execution.

The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, excellent communication, and proven ability to operate under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 2+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience in computer networking
• Experience working with Linux operating systems
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical point of contact for internal teams.
• Perform Process Improvement. Gather data on common failures or waste and work with supporting teams to get them resolved / minimized / eliminated
• Perform rigorous hardware verification inspections to insure quality on server racks, networking devices, and associated components.
• Launch new network capacity
• May be required to assist Deployment Technicians with rack deployments on heavy deployment days or Cabling team
• Delivery of on-demand customer capacity with fast, smooth execution
