Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Deployment Planner to join our Planning and Implementation team within AWS Data Center Delivery in Herndon, VA. You will scope and plan interdependent capacity scaling projects and new network capacity deployments across multiple data centers, reviewing forecasts and ensuring resources are available for execution.

Qualifications

1+ years of project management experience.
1+ years of relevant discipline work experience.
Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.

Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to timelines.
Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes.
Coordinate with Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, Network Engineers and Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth delivery of on-demand customer capacity.
Knowledge of network cabling and optic types.
Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
Familiarity with common networking terms.
Excellent judgement and analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs. - Strong prioritization and time management ability.
Coordination of design, project timeline/schedule and construction milestones.
Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management. Must be well organized and able to work effectively under time pressure.
