Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking an NW Deployment Planner I to join the Planning, Implementation, Coordination team. The role focuses on scoping and planning capacity scaling projects and new network deployments across multiple data center locations, coordinating with cross-functional teams to assure resources are available for execution.

Qualifications

• Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers
• Experience in project management
• 1+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to timelines.
• Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes with improvement in mind.
• Coordinate with Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, Network Engineers and Technical Project Manager teams to deliver capacity.
• Knowledge of network cabling and optic types.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Familiarity with common networking terms.
• Strong prioritization and time management abilities.
• Coordinate design, project timeline/schedule and construction milestones.
• Experience in scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management.
