Job summary

HDR is seeking a Data Center Market Sector Leader (Building Engineering & Construction) to lead and deliver strategic projects for key clients in Northern California. The role focuses on client management, project leadership, and driving technical excellence across multi-disciplinary teams.

You will collaborate with regional leadership to win new work, develop relationships with client organizations, and promote HDR services while upholding HDR values and the employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning/engineering services.
• Experience developing and managing a wide range of client relationships and pursuits.
• Experience with staff development including recruiting and career paths.
• Active involvement with industry associations; visible market profile.
• Ability to collaborate with regional leaders and directors.
• Demonstrated commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Client Manager, Principal-In-Charge or project leader for key clients in the region.
• Assist with contract review to manage risk, staffing, QA/QC and claims resolution.
• Drive technical excellence and coordinate staff for project delivery and marketing efforts.
• Coordinate staffing plans with Area leadership and assist with local hires.
• Ensure project delivery and support the QA/QC program.
• Monitor market sector performance indicators (NFE/NFB, profits, AR).
