Job summary

Google is seeking a Land Development and Portfolio Manager to lead pre-construction development on owned sites, handling land-use entitlements, provider agreements, and off-site infrastructure. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure sites operate on schedule, within budget, and at full capacity, fostering relationships with jurisdictions, utilities and engineering teams.

The role sits within Google’s Data Center Land Development team under ICAM, focusing on securing entitlements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience leading negotiations on land entitlements and infrastructure agreements on projects using a combination of internal and external resources.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate utility infrastructure and extension agreements with providers and AHJs; secure timely, cost-effective extensions.
• Coordinate zoning, entitlements, easement actions, permits and grid/traffic impact studies.
• Lead liaison with local and national utility providers for supply strategy and secure capacity for data center developments.
• Manage development activities to meet infrastructure delivery schedules as determined by capacity planning teams.
