Job summary

Google is seeking a Land Development and Portfolio Manager to own pre-construction entitlements and coordinate off-site infrastructure for owned data center sites. You will lead negotiations with authorities, finalize provider agreements, and manage cross-functional teams to ensure on‑time, within‑budget delivery.

With focus on post-acquisition asset lifecycle, you will build relationships with jurisdictions and utility partners to secure capacity and drive long-term operational success across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience leading negotiations on land entitlements and infrastructure agreements on projects using a combination of internal and external resources.
• Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience managing greenfield land development, site selection, and real estate transactions for large-scale data centers or mission-critical facilities (preferred).
• Experience in agreement drafting, redlining, and delivering presentations (preferred).
• Expertise in project economics, risk management, financial modeling, budgeting, indirect taxes, and economic development policy (preferred).
• Track record of collaborating with utility providers and local governments to secure power allocations, with an understanding of power transmission and data center technology (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Negotiate utility infrastructure and extension agreements with providers and AHJs ensuring timely, cost-effective extensions with firm capacity.
• Support civil, utility, and building construction programs ensuring campuses are development ready and aligned with schedules.
• Serve as lead liaison with local/national utility providers to secure capacity for planned data center developments.
• Manage all development activities to meet or exceed infrastructure delivery schedules.
