Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a high-energy Mechanical HVAC Engineer to deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for our Data Center clients. You will work with engineers and designers on field investigations, equipment sizing, and construction design packages.

You’ll lead tasks with responsibility for schedule and technical quality while collaborating across disciplines. The role emphasizes layout, design criteria, P&IDs, ductwork, and final design documents.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and to collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.
• Professional Engineering License (Ideally).

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems for data centers, EVs, heavy industrial facilities.
• Development of HVAC design criteria including comfort, humidity, and clean room specs.
• Creation of conceptual and final design documents, calculations, P&IDs, and general layouts.
• Layout of ductwork systems based on P&IDs and design documents.
• Development of final design documents including specifications and sequences of operation.
• Coordination with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Support and collaboration to deliver high-quality, process-driven designs.
