Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Designer for its Building Mechanical team. The role involves performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages for heavy industrial clients.

You will manage schedules and ensure technical quality while collaborating with a multi-discipline team to meet client expectations and project constraints. A hybrid work model is supported, with opportunities across U.S.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations and Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water).
• Coordination with other disciplines.
