Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Service Engineer to perform fieldwork at customer sites, resolving server system issues and supporting a global service network. The role requires technical aptitude with server products and strong interpersonal skills, with regular field visits in Memphis, TN.

You will work with the Global Services Team, provide 2nd line support, and participate in training, problem-solving, and service program development. English proficiency is required, and Linux familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of field support servicing complex X86 systems and parts preferred.
• Work experience in large enterprises or certification in Windows and Linux environments is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with servers (Supermicro, EMC, DELL, HP).
• Solid hardware system diagnostics skills and understanding of BIOS, drivers and application loads.

Responsibilities

• On-site and remote troubleshooting of Supermicro equipment in enterprise environments.
• Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence and preventive maintenance.
• Provide second-line support to resellers and distributors.
• Travel to customer sites; train and resolve issues; support field service operations.
