Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Service Engineer to perform fieldwork at customer sites, resolving server system issues and supporting the Global Service network. The role requires strong technical aptitude, excellent communication, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include on-site/remote troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, training junior engineers, and occasional travel. A Bachelor's or equivalent is preferred, with Linux/Windows familiarity being a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• 2+ years of field support servicing complex X86 systems and parts preferred.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments is a plus.
• Hands-on server hardware and on-site customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• On-site and remote troubleshooting of Supermicro equipment in enterprise environments.
• Lead preventive maintenance actions and manage repair/parts cycles.
• Provide 2nd line support to resellers/distributors.
• Train new service engineers and travel up to 25% to field locations.
