Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Service Engineer for fieldwork at customer sites to resolve and repair server systems as part of the Global Service Team. The role emphasizes on-site and remote troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and rapid issue resolution with strong technical and interpersonal skills.

The candidate will support the Global Service network, travel to customer sites, and work closely with the Service Manager, Product Manager, and Technical Account Manager to improve service programs.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing complex X86 systems and parts.
• Hands-on experience with servers (Supermicro, EMC, DELL, HP).
• Strong technical communication to lead investigations across disciplines.
• Fluent in English (read/write/speak).

Responsibilities

• On-site and remote troubleshooting of complex issues on Supermicro equipment.
• Drive customer satisfaction by leading preventive maintenance and managing repair/parts cycles.
• Provide 2nd line support to resellers and distributors.
• Travel to field sites to train and resolve issues (75%+).
• Train new service engineers and contribute to problem-solving through testing.
