Job summary

IMEG is seeking a Field Engineer in Austin, TX to provide on-site construction observation and coordination on data center projects. You will represent the owner's interests, work with contractors and design engineers, and ensure compliance with contract documents, quality, and schedule.

The role supports in-office teams with RFIs, submittals, and drawings, tracks progress, and helps maintain safety and code compliance across industrial and manufacturing projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 2 years field experience; 4 preferred.
• Ability to travel 100% and work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Represent owner's interests during construction on-site.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and document meeting minutes.
• Write daily construction reports with schedules and issues.
• Review contract documents and obtain design info.
• Issue deficiency reports and provide constructability feedback.
• Monitor RFI/submittal progress and communicate critical items.
• Prepare progress reports for senior management.
