Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Austin, TX is seeking a Field Engineer to provide on-site construction observation and coordination for data center projects. You will represent the owner's interests, work with contractors and design engineers, and help ensure alignment with contract documents, quality expectations, and schedule needs.

The role supports in-office teams by tracking RFIs, submittals, and drawing revisions, documenting status, and escalating issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent required.
• PE License required.
• 2+ years field experience required; 4+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site presence to represent the owner's interest during construction.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to support project objectives and document meetings.
• Write daily construction reports including status, delays, and inspections.
• Review and interpret contract documents and obtain information from design engineers as needed.
• Track RFIs and submittals and monitor critical path items to field and design teams.
• Ensure drawings are updated with corrected revisions and coordinate with design team on issues.
• Assist client and design team with closeout documentation and site safety compliance.
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients.
