Job summary

Digital Realty in Sterling, VA seeks a Manager Engineering Operations to lead data center engineering and supervise facility engineers 24x7. You will review SOPs/MOPs/EOPs, coordinate with remote hands, security and janitorial teams, and ensure 100% uptime and SLA compliance.

You'll manage MEP systems, lead root-cause analyses, supervise CMMS/DCIM usage, and develop optimization strategies with site engineers. Strong leadership, budget awareness, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years related facility management experience in data center operations or related field.
• Solid experience in construction, commissioning, and operation of mission critical systems.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure redundancy configurations (N+1, 2N).

Responsibilities

• Lead data center engineering operations to achieve 100% uptime and SLA compliance.
• Supervise MEP construction activities and witness equipment testing during commissioning.
• Develop and supervise local engineering team to ensure adherence to SOPs, SOOs, and maintenance standards.
• Coordinate change management processes including creation of MOPs for risk-level maintenance.
• Identify trends and risks, analyze operational data, and present findings to senior management.
