Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation.

You will assist with daily site inspections of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring safe environmental conditions and prompt responses to BMS alarms. The role involves working with third-party vendors, completing PM and reactive maintenance, and maintaining thorough maintenance records in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Training in a Technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience.
• Ability to present information to internal teams, management and colleagues.
• Strong communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with processes, procedures, and laws/regulations.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
• Perform building walkthroughs and take meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
• Follow safety processes and maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
