Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician responsible for preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. The role supports the Critical and Technical Services function.

You will monitor mechanical and electrical systems, respond to Building Management System alarms, and coordinate with vendors while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. This position requires flexibility for shift work including weekends and holidays, with a focus on reliable

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Ability to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Meet the physical requirements.
• Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and clients.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems.
• Maintain safe site environmental conditions.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors per procedures and laws.
• Report sub-contractor performance issues.
• Perform planned preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Check BMS for HVAC issues and respond to client problems.
• Take meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities during walkthroughs.
• Fix facility and plant faults; document maintenance records.
• Follow established processes and safety requirements.
• Complete required training and follow procedures under supervision.
• Deliver outputs per defined duties and tasks.
