Job summary

CBRE seeks a Data Center Technician in the United States to perform preventative maintenance and repairs within a data center operation. You will support mechanical and electrical systems and respond to BMS alarms to ensure uptime.

Working with third-party vendors under established processes, you will complete PM tasks and daily site inspections while following safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Technical training with apprenticeship or equivalent; 1–2 years related experience; shift work including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and follow basic work routines and standards.
• Strong communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Inspect daily site Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment for servicing and maintenance.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors under Master Service Agreement.
• Record maintenance and ensure safety, regulatory and quality requirements.
• Take meter readings from UPS, PDUs and utilities.
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance per established procedures.
