Job summary

HDR is seeking a Data Center Electrical Engineer in Denver, CO, to design and oversee electrical systems for mission-critical projects. You will coordinate with clients, PMs, architects, and engineers across disciplines to deliver high-quality electrical design documents, calculations, and RFI responses.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in consulting electrical design, licensure (PE preferred), and strong knowledge of NEC, UPS, power distribution, grounding, and one-line diagrams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with Electrical emphasis is required.
• PE license is preferred and shown as licensure requirement.
• Experience in electrical design for data centers and mission-critical projects.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and power system tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for data center/mission-critical projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate with clients, PMs, architects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop feasibility reports, construction docs and calculations.
• Review RFIs, shop drawings and perform site investigations.
• Mentor junior staff and manage workload to meet schedules.
• Support design meetings and lead electrical discussions.
