Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Controls Engineer to troubleshoot, manage projects, and maintain BMS/EPMS within AWS data centers.

You will develop processes and standards while coordinating with project leaders and stakeholders across centers. The role requires expertise in industrial controls for critical environments and experience with BMS/EPMS, SCADA networks, and protocol standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and 5+ years of controls experience.
• Experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data centers, etc.).
• 4+ years of project or vendor management experience in construction and project execution.
• Experience with BMS/EPMS and controls sequence of operation.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

• Review quarterly maintenance results and actions for BMS/EPMS and drive resolution.
• Develop project scope, schedule, budget, and LOE for customer requests.
• Manage scope, schedule, finance, and execution of BMS/EPMS improvement projects.
• Support procurement: RFQs/RFPs, RFI responses, and vendor reviews.
• Participate in AWS global on-call schedule for technical support.
• Attend project meetings and report status to Controls management.
• Support commissioning activities in data centers.
• Review and iterate on the controls sequence of operation; provide feedback.
• Develop and modify controls logic programming and GUIs.
• Manage multiple stakeholders and navigate challenging situations.
• Financially manage BMS/EPMS service contracts.
• Visit local data centers to troubleshoot and oversee vendor compliance.
