Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Controls Engineer to manage BMS/EPMS systems across AWS data centers. You will troubleshoot, lead projects, and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain critical infrastructure.

The role involves developing control sequences, programming logic, and GUI interfaces while supporting on-call operations and on-site visits to data centers. A strong background in electrical/mechanical engineering and vendor management is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industrial controls in critical environments (data centers, pharma, manufacturing, etc.).
• 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience (RFPs, bids, change orders, QC, RFIs) in construction.
• Experience with BMS/EPMS configuration, commissioning and operations.

Responsibilities

• Train internal customers on BMS/EPMS configuration, validation, installation and operation.
• Provide technical support during data center life cycle and address maintenance action items.
• Develop scope, schedule, budget and LOE for BMS/EPMS projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, finances and execution of BMS/EPMS improvement projects.
• Assist in procurement: RFQs, vendor proposals, PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS on-call for BMS/EPMS support; report status to stakeholders.
• Support commissioning activities in data centers.
• Review and iterate SOO; feedback to design team.
• Develop and modify control logic programming and GUIs.
