Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Controls Engineer to troubleshoot BMS and EPMS across AWS data centers. You will manage life-cycle support, develop control logic, and coordinate with vendors for successful project delivery.

You will collaborate with operations and project stakeholders, assist in procurement, and participate in on-call support for critical infrastructure, ensuring adherence to SOO and local codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher with 5+ years controls experience in relevant environments.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data centers, pharma, etc.).
• 4+ years of project or vendor management in construction and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for BMS and EPMS in AWS data centers.
• Train internal customers on BMS/EPMS design, configuration, validation, installation and operation.
• Provide technical support to operations during data center life cycle.
• Review quarterly maintenance results and drive resolution for BMS/EPMS.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and LOE for BMS/EPMS initiatives.
• Manage scope, schedule, finance and execution of improvement projects in AWS data centers.
• Assist procurement activities including RFx, vendor proposals and PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS on-call schedule for BMS/EPMS support.
• Attend meetings and report status to Controls and stakeholders management.
• Support commissioning activities in data centers and optimize SOO feedback to design.
• Develop/modify control logic programming and graphical interfaces.
• Coordinate multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate challenging situations.
• Manage BMS/EPMS service contracts financially.
• Visit assigned data centers to troubleshoot and supervise vendor work.
