Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States is seeking a controls professional to troubleshoot and manage BMS/EPMS systems in data centers. You will coordinate life‑cycle activities, lead root cause analyses, and drive continuous improvements across projects and vendors.

You will design, configure and validate BMS/EPMS solutions, participate in on‑call support, and ensure safety, quality and compliance while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and SOPs.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent plus 5 years controls experience, or 10 years controls experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis for BMS and EPMS issues in AWS data centers.
• Train and assist internal customers with BMS/EPMS design, configuration, validation, installation and operation.
• Provide technical assistance and support to operations during the data center life cycle.
• Review maintenance results for BMS/EPMS and close action items.
• Develop BMS/EPMS project scope, schedule, budget and LOE.
• Manage scope, schedule, finance and execution of BMS/EPMS improvement projects in AWS data centers.
• Assist in procurement activities including RFQs, vendor responses, PO issuance.
• Participate in AWS global on-call for BMS/EPMS support in in-service data centers.
• Attend project meetings and report status to Controls management.
• Support commissioning activities and iterate on SOO with design team.
• Develop/modify controls logic programming and GUI.
• Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate challenges.
• Financially manage BMS/EPMS service contracts.
• Frequent on-site visits to data centers for troubleshooting and vendor supervision.
