Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager in Bristow, Virginia, to lead construction projects for critical data centers.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and vendor relations on site, coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning teams. You will directly oversee electrical and mechanical installations, enforce safety standards, and drive cost and quality outcomes across projects, ensuring reliable, energy-efficient data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives aimed at increasing data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimized data centers.
• Manage construction documents including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
• Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root-cause failure analysis of equipment.
• Be a leader within the group and with internal/external teams supporting the data center.
