Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is hiring a Data Center Construction Manager in Manassas, VA. The role leads on-site construction activities for electrical and mechanical systems, coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to deliver energy-efficient data centers.

You will drive cost, schedule, and quality, manage vendors and contractors, and report metrics to leadership. The team emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and innovation in building scalable cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives increasing data center resiliency.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
