Job summary

Amazon Data Centers in Stafford, VA seeks a Data Center Construction Manager to lead electrical and mechanical construction on new data centers and to coordinate with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning.

You will be on-site daily, driving cost, schedule, and quality while managing construction vendors and contractors as the owner's representative through design review, bidding, and hand-off to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in constructing and managing complex MEP systems and data-center projects.
• Experience managing general contractors, vendors, RFPs, change orders, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout.
• Conduct bid and proposal evaluations with detail and accuracy.
• Create scope and requests for proposals for construction projects.
• Perform financial analysis of construction activities.
• Manage projects to increase data center resiliency and optimize design.
