Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead on-site construction activities for AWS data centers in Virginia. You will oversee budget, scope, and schedules, coordinate with Operations, Networking, and Security teams, and drive quality across multiple projects.

You will partner with contractors, manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and ensure compliance with building codes while delivering resilient, cost-effective data center infrastructure for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience taking new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment.
• Experience with MS Excel and Windows OS.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Manage construction projects to increase resiliency of data centers.
