Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager in Sterling, VA to lead construction of complex electrical and mechanical systems for next‑generation data centers. You will serve as Amazon's owner’s representative onsite, driving cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls, and Security teams.

The role focuses on managing general contractors, vendors, and project deliverables across capital projects to deliver scalable, energy-efficient data centers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience bringing new design concepts through exploration, development and deployment.
• Experience using MS Excel and Word on Windows OS.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage projects to increase data center resiliency.
• Review electrical and mechanical designs for constructability.
