Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction project management for new builds and capital projects across AWS data centers.

You will own scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning teams on site. On-site role based in Virginia, you will interface with general contractors, manage vendors, drive cost controls, and ensure safety and compliance as you build highly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, awards, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives to increase data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimized data centers.
• Manage construction documents including submittal review, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.
